Have you ever walked down the streets of Barcelona and realized how many different types of bars and restaurants there are? Barcelona is such a diverse and international place, that allows us to experience other countries’ food and cultures without even having to get on a plane!
We have decided to give you our top picks of the best bars in Barcelona from around the world. Enjoy! Disfrutate! Bon profit! At nyde!
Every time we set foot in CocoVail, we’re transported to sunny southern California. You don’t just go to CocoVail for drinks, you go for the All-American experience.
From beer pong, to American Football and Baseball playing on almost every TV screen, and their All-American menu, we see why so many expats are attached! You can get classic American favorites like burgers, chicken wings, and pulled pork sandwiches – and in true American style, they have more beers than we know what to do with. You can bet that they have something for everyone: craft IPAs, local brews, American favorites, Blondes, and any other you could ever want.

Like any American bar, you’ll find daily deals and drink specials; our personal faves are .50 cent wings on Mondays and 4€ “Sex on the Beach” on Thirsty Thursdays.
If you’re looking for a sweet pairing with your burger and brew, we suggest doing dessert the American way; with a Pizookie! Just in case you are stumped: a Pizookie is a delicious homemade cookie, hot out of the oven, smothered with ice vanilla ice cream. Are you drooling yet? If the answer is yes, grab your surfboards and ride the waves on down to the one of the best bars in Barcelona!
We think Bao Bao should be changed to Bao WOW! This Sants treasure is surely worth the travel. Bao Bao is known for their Asian fusion street food, and especially their baos (surprise, surprise!).
They have 8 different baos on their menu that are sure to blow your mind. If you’re more in the mood for a soup, have no fear. Bao Bao also has some great ramens exploding with unique flavors.
If you thought that was it, you’re in for a big surprise.

There’s no better compliment to Asian fusion street food than Asian fusion cocktails! Bao Bao creates out-of-this-world cocktails by incorporating unique Asian flavors such as lychee, bitters of India spices, sake, and yuzu into their drink, earning them one of the top spots on our best bars in Barcelona.
Bao Bao is the perfect spot for dinner and pre-drinks before a night out with friends or an after-work with colleagues. But is there ever really a bad time for baos and cocktails? Yeah, we didn’t think so either…
We’ll take the Placek po węgiersku, Kiełbasa smażona, and the Pierogi Ruskie please!
We can’t even talk about PolkaBar without drooling, well maybe we can’t exactly pronounce the words, but we’re still drooling.
This Polish bar-restaurant is tucked in the barrio of Les Corts, and is worth the journey. You’ll find delicious Eastern-European dishes like potato cakes, pierogies, and traditional sausages that taste like a home cooked meal.

You can always count on fun at PolkaBar, whether it be a Polish sports game or a karaoke night, there’s never a dull moment. On top of all the delicious dishes to choose from, PolkaBar also has a long list of imported lagers and, you guessed it, vodka! The PolkaBar can make almost any cocktail with their imported vodka, or you can just keep it simple and do like the Polish do – just take a shot of it! Bring your appetite and shot glass to the best Polish bar in Barcelona!
From the decor to the music to the food, Santisimo Agave is definitely in our top 3 picks for the best Mexican bars in Barcelona. You can always expect delicious food and drinks that transport you to a beautiful sunny day in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Santisimo Agave is both a place to enjoy a fantastic dinner, as well as party all night long. There are always events like live music, Cumbia dance nights, and Bachata workshops going on, so you can expect to have a good night, any night.
Our favorite dish is the tacos. With meat marinated and cooked to perfection and homemade spicy salsa, who knew something so small and simple could be so good!

Pro tip: Santisimo Agave has the best Taco Tuesday in town. They have 1€ tacos and “cañas” all night long. Get there early to beat the crowd!
If you didn’t think you liked mezcal, just head down to Santisimo Agave, and we promise they will change your mind!
Depending on how you’re feeling, we suggest the Cantinflas for a refreshing, casual drink, and a Jose Alfredo Jimenez, if you are feeling a little bit spicy and sassy. Whatever mood you’re in, Santisimo Agave is always the answer.
Surya brought India to Barcelona, with not only one location, but TWO! How did we get so lucky?! From the moment you walk through the door, the delicious Indian spices tickle your nose and take you straight to spice heaven!
The bright decor reminds you of classic Bollywood from the abstract paintings on the walls, to the bright and cozy furniture – you almost forget you’re in Barcelona. They have classic Indian dishes such as vindaloo and tikka masala, as well as dishes with a little bit of a twist like rolls, which contain a meat of your choosing, like pollo tikka, and veggies wrapped in a warm, fresh-baked Naan, kind of like an Indian burrito.

The fun doesn’t stop at the food though. Suyra even incorporates Indian flavors to their cocktails, like a little spice in the Tikka Santiago and some sweetness in our favorite, the Fake Chai. Surya has an unbeatable menu del dia for only 11€, so it’s a perfect place for a lunch date, in addition to after-work drinks and tapas, so round-up your colleagues and get your taste buds ready for two of the best Indian bars in Barcelona!
